I have to tell you about something I read and a conversation I had recently.
I was talking with someone a few weeks ago who had had someone very close to them pass away. This person was quite young and we all felt the sting of her passing. We talked of God and the church and it was brought up 'why did it have to be her? Why would a good God allow the young to die?'
At the time I had no good answer and I stated that I wish I could give her an answer to that. Then days later, I was on Tiktok as we millennials do to escape our actual lives hehe. But anyway, I was on Tiktok and I heard a girl say how she had read her bible through and through and had never read this verse. Then she read it and my heart beat through my chest. There was my answer.
The verse was Isaiah 57:1
"Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come."
I've been in church my entire life and have never heard it put that way. I had never heard that answer. I had never felt so in touch and connected to such a beautiful verse. It truly hit me in my heart. I went and bought a new bible and made it a point to mark this page. I hope it speaks to you as it spoke to me.
