Sundays on the Little Homestead.

Updated: Oct 3, 2021

The little homestead on the corner has been so active lately. With visitors coming in and out, the dogs running around the front yard, the chickens making their way around the chicken pens.

It's felt so alive for the first time in such a long time.

It's such a beautiful feeling. That feeling of our home is complete, I don't wish to have anything more. (Although a porch with a swing and small table would be cool!) But it's just so comforting here on the little homestead lately.

Today was such a slow day, I had a few visitors to come see us, but for the most part of the day I washed dishes, washed clothes, changed a million diapers, & even gave the twins a spa day. I don't usually bathe them when I'm by myself because it feels like such a daunting and chaotic task with two.

But today, I was determined.

I put the boys in their bouncers (they can now fit in them without having blankets placed around them to hold them in place!) then after placing them in their bouncers I gathered all the materials I'd need, their hairbrush (for those itty bitty hairs), their body wash, lotions, baby oil, their robes, towels, rags, and their sunflower bathtub that fits in the sink. Then one by one I washed them, lotioned them up, and wrapped them in their robes. Kayven thoroughly enjoyed it and laid in the water so content and happy. Colten... well, he wasn't impressed. He screamed and kicked and flung his arms and legs everywhere. He wasn't happy until I snapped the last button of his onesie. He's such a funny little guy.
