The First Bloom.
I walked through the yard today holding a bucket full of feed. It was a pretty day out today. Warm enough for a sun dress, still cold enough to wear a light sweater. Odd weather for January if you ask me.
But this is the South, the weather would be even more odd if it were normal. The boys drove their tractors in circles around me as I walked to Donald's pen to throw some feed in for him.
Something caught my eye as I poured the food in the pen. I squatted down and stared. The first bloom of the year!
A beautiful daffodil!
That's one thing I've always loved about our home, the flowers that pop up each year that I had forgotten about during the Winter months.
It was a nice surprise today!
