The Nose Frida: The Good, The Bad, & The Boogers.

I won't lie to you, I promise. Let's just get that out of the way.

When someone told me that the Nose Frida was a necessity, I was definitely like "No, thank you! Not for me!" and at one point I remember saying, "I will love my kids, but I refuse to suck their snot through that thing." But one day in Walmart I saw it just before having the boys and I stood staring at the box for a hot minute before my husband said, "Throw it in the buggy."

First Impressions

So, flash forward to baby Colt's first episode with congestion. It got so bad at one point that he was blowing bubbles out of his nose. I used the suction bulb we got from the hospital so many times, but it was as if it really wasn't getting the snot out of his nose. It was just getting what was in the opening of his nose, not all the actual congestion. So, I put together the Nose Frida.

Pros and Cons

For obvious reasons, a lot of people refuse to get the NoseFrida. The same reasons I had for being wary of it. 1. Sucking Boogers. 2. Ew. Gross. 3. What if it goes in my mouth?

I'll address that here:

1. Sucking Boogers. I know, it's not what you wake up and look forward to each day. But if your baby is sick, congested, or has acid reflux bad, this little booger sucker will be your baby's relief.

2. Ew. Gross. Yes, it is. But it's a good feeling when your baby smiles because they're finally feeling some relief.

3. What if it goes in my mouth? Okay, so this was my biggest concern. But even with the worst congestion, it doesn't even go halfway down the tube AND there's a filter. I have a lot of faith in that tiny filter. LOL. Also - I was worried I may taste or smell the snot, I know that's a strange concern, but you can't taste or smell it. It's purely a visual thing.

The Final Score

What would I rate this product?

One being a "Don't waste your moolah" & Ten being a "You HAVE to get this".

I would rate this a good ten. It's come in handy more than I ever thought I would use it. Having acid reflux babies too, it gives them so much relief after an episode to have that nasty acid reflux sucked out of their noses. The Nose Frida has been amazing.
