You've probably heard all about coconut oil, right? It's the world's most versatile product. Eat it, wear it, cook with it, coconut oil is good for everything. Dry hands? Coconut oil. Dry hair? Coconut oil. Cooking pancakes with no butter or oil? Coconut oil. Annoying ex? Coconut oil. It is literally good for everything.
#1 - Weight Loss.
Eating a teaspoon of coconut oil each day will help you to shed the weight off. Also, it's great for making you go to the bathroom if you're feeling stopped up! (Another reason it's a great addition in bulletproof coffee.)
#2 - Moisturizing.
One of the most known uses of coconut oil is for moisturizing. You can scoop out a dime sized piece of coconut oil and let it melt in your hands and your hands will be moisturized for hours. Use it on your elbows, feet, anywhere but your face! It can and will clog your pores.
#3 - Oil Pulling.
Oil pulling is one of my favorites! You just take a small amount of coconut oil and swish it around in your mouth making sure to get it everywhere, after about 10 minutes spit it into the trash (not the sink! It can clog up your sink.). This will not only pull toxins out through your mouth but also whiten your teeth. Just brush your teeth afterwards and you're ready to go!
#4 - Reducing Inflammation.
By eating just a small amount of coconut oil a day you will heal your gut & reduce your inflammation. It will improve your antioxidant status and it's also said that it helps as a pain reliever and muscle relaxant.
#5 - Makeup Remover.
Another use of coconut oil is a makeup remover, like I said it can clog your pores so make sure you cleanse your face afterward. But it works wonders with getting off stubborn mascara or eyeliner.
