Memories

For the first time last night I let The Farmer read my blog.

Our first date night, I had a cheeseburger in my mouth haha!

He read the article about him being in the hospital and in ICU that week and he told me that it was crazy to read everything that had happened to him from the eyes of a bystander. I think I'd feel the same. I decided to read back through it, it really was like reliving that entire week all over again. It's kind of funny how you can remember alot of the bad times and not many good times. So since I told you all about the bad times. Let me tell you about the good times. Where to begin...

On August 25th, I became the girlfriend of a wonderful farmer. I had seen him back in high school (He was a junior and I was a freshman) and although he liked me, he wasn't my type. I liked the punks and he liked redneck girls. Total Opposites!

Right after my senior year, I saw him on Facebook and I messaged him, by that time I had started liking country boys and had done a total 180. I loved vintage clothing but I tended to dress pretty professional and for comfort because when I wasn't working I was relaxing. I messaged him and said "hey" and he replied with a "hey :)" and that's where we began, We texted everyday and every night for almost a week and things just felt right.

On August 25th he asked me to be his girl and on August 29th we went out to the high school football game. We got in and the only people we knew there were my sister and one of his buddies from high school. We stood around a couple minutes before I whispered in his ear, "I'll give you a refund if you wanna get outta here." We ran through the school parking lot and hopped into the truck. We sat there asking each other, "What do we do now?" for a few minutes before deciding to ride dirtroads and talk to each other.

Somewhere out in the boonies he stopped the truck.

I had been left on the side of the road by an ex so I refused to get out when he told me to get out. He came around and picked me up the whole time I'm going, "What're you doing?!" He took me to the front of the truck in the headlights and we...

danced.

I couldn't believe it was happening, I had never done that. I kept looking both ways expecting headlights to come and break us apart. I kissed him and pulled him back to the truck and we drove on. We rode around all night before we stopped again, this time in a different section of town. He stopped and told me to lay on him. I leaned my head back and he told me to look up at the sky. I could see every star in the sky, I smiled. It was the best date I had ever been on in my life. Every moment was so magical and simply perfect. If I could go back and change anything, I'd keep it just the way it is.
