The day is finally beginning to wind down. It is currently 10 p.m. and the farm is still running.
Does it ever take a break though?
Today we attended the wedding of my stepbrother and his fiance. It was such a beautiful wedding, it was at the hunting lodge that I used to clean on the hunting preserve under the big beautiful oaks. I was so worried about how the boys were going to do. I always get nervous when it's quiet somewhere how they'll act, but they usually surprise me as they did today and are perfectly quiet.
We had our little amazon fan on them the entire ceremony and whew. It was the best $22 I've ever spent for sure! (It's definitely one of those products that I wish I had before I even had kids, like diaper bags instead of a purse?? That stuff is like the best kept secrets of moms!)
But we left the reception a little early because Kayven was beginning to be a little ill and tired. He had gotten hot even with the fan on him and he was just over everyone and everything. So we headed on home.
When we got home, it was an irrigation night so the farmer has been working with that all evening. We went and grabbed a coffee to help keep us awake and alert.
So here's to a long Saturday night on the farm!
