Farmstead Friday : Farmschooling

Farmschool Paperwork: thefarmschoolco (Instagram)

When it comes to raising kids, I like to think I am a decent mom so far. I have so many big plans for these kids and they have no idea. We have been building up our businesses for them to someday take over and have something to call their own from expanding our options of products to planting more trees to have more products for produce season.

To prepare them for farm life though as children, I have been collecting things along and along to use when "farmschooling" the boys. Books, lesson plans, activities, etc. We even have a farmer's market learning set up for when they start learning to count money and produce! It's quite literally set up as a fruit stand with a cash register!

So obviously when I found a link to thefarmschoolco in a facebook group, I jumped on board and began looking through all the stuff she had... and fell in love..

She gave me so many good ideas, I plan on making the boys some flashcards with terms and stuff from around our own farm to help them learn their letters and to learn about our personal farm.

But the lesson plans though, they're printable gold! Pictured here is the first page of the Egg lesson plan. Also included is a coloring/tracing sheet, a labeled egg worksheet with a matching fill-in-the-blank sheet, and a beautiful "types of eggs" on the homestead sheet. If you haven't yet, go give her a follow on Instagram and keep your eyes open for more photos from farmschooling here. The boys are a bit too young to learn about the interior of an egg but, mama could use the extra knowledge! It's been a minute since my egg candling class. Be sure to like & share this post with your friends and family! Especially the ones with small farm kids.
