DIY Salt Dough Pumpkins.

Writer: Lady of the Farm Lady of the Farm

It's the most wonderful time of the year! That's right, it's finally Fall! Time for all the crafts! We always do cinnamon salt dough gingerbread men around the holidays, but today we decided to do some pumpkin salt dough creations. How cute is this?!

  • 4 cups flour

  • 1 cup table salt

  • 1 1/2 cups water

  1. Mix the ingredients in a bowl using a wooden spoon. When it becomes stiff, use your hands to bring the dough together.

  2. Add a little flour if the dough is too wet & sticky, if it's too dry, add 1 tablespoon of water until it's soft and not too stiff or sticky.

  3. Knead the dough until it's well combined & soft, around 3-5 minutes.

  4. Divide the dough into 2 to 4 sections and roll out the dough to about an inch thick. You can place it between two sheets of parchment paper to prevent sticking and to help make a smoother surface on the dough.

  5. Use cookie cutters to cut out the designs you want and decorate or place handprints on the dough to create beautiful pieces. Then, let airdry.
