A Typical Morning Schedule on the Farm

A Typical Morning Schedule on the Farm

Since having the twins, my morning schedule is looking a little different here on the farm, but the work still has to get done daily. A farm wife's chores and daily duties don't just go away. So of course, there are always random farm issues and errands that come up throughout the day so this schedule changes daily, but this is a typical weekday schedule.

4:00/5:00 am - Feed time for babies.

6:00 am - Head back to bed.

8:30 am - Wake up, put on baby's outfits for the day, prep bottles.

9:00 am - Feed Time.

10:00 am - Get ready for the day (dressed, brush teeth, fix hair).

10:15 am - Do outside chores. Turn on the water to duck pool, feed chickens, water chickens, let out dogs, gather eggs.

10:45 am - Spend time with babies.

11:00 am - Begin indoor chores. Put on a load of laundry, wash any dishes, straighten up the house, turn on Roomba, make something for lunch.

12:00 pm - Feed time for babies. After feed time spend time with babies holding & playing until dinnertime.

For all the moms cringing that their wasn't constant "play with babies" on this list:

During my chores, the boys are usually napping or happily playing with their toys on their bouncers. I do tend to them constantly throughout my chores and check on them.

Sometimes when doing indoor chores depending on how long I will be in a certain room I will take the babies into that room to talk to them while I clean.

Once everything is done in the morning, the whole afternoons are spent with the boys interacting together like taking walks, playing, & napping. When they're napping & asleep at night, that is when I do my blogging & hobbies.

So, this is a typical morning schedule for me during the week. It changes from day to day, but this is what I usually stick to. It keeps the house decent and the chores around the homestead done. What do your morning schedules look like?
