I woke up to a golden sunrise, the kind that shows her face in only the season of the harvest. Which is currently the season we are in.
Yesterday I began the Fall Market and it was so great! Around twenty-six vendors I believe. It brought such an amazing crowd! I looked out over at the train depot a few times and the train depot was packed with people waiting to get a ride into the village. Afterwards, me and "Auntie Laura", who had come to help support me, we went over into the pumpkin patch there to take photos and we got some of the most precious photos!
Before leaving I went to my friend who sells wool and I got a small bit. I saw a thing on Woodlark about a felted ghost patch for your clothes and ever since I had thought about my iconic mustard sweater. I've had it for years and years now and it's falling apart at the seams. The Farmer has bought me a replacement mustard sweater but I just keep going back to the original sweater so I decided to fix it. More on that in another post!
But last night it was back to farm wife life, I went to the fields and watched the pivot with the farmer. We put the boys in the back and let them sleep while we talked under the moonlight. It was very reminiscent of a time before the boys.
We rode dirt roads awhile and we found ourselves on a dirt road and we saw something glowing, we both jerked our heads around to see what it was. It was a glowing cross! In the middle of nowhere on the tip top of a tree along the side of the road. It was so unexpected but so beautiful. I wish I had gotten a photo! I really don't even know where we were. Somewhere between Fitzgerald and Rebecca.
So yeah, that's been my weekend.
Stay tuned for plenty of more holiday stuff because this is the most wonderful part of the year!
